Ukraine Community Builders — Block 1: Building Forward – Youth, Europe, and the Future
The first block of the Ukraine Community Builders programme, Building Forward – Youth, Europe, and the Future, was held on 18–22 April 2026 as a five-day onsite module in Ukraine.
It addressed key topics including team building and creating a shared space, self-awareness and group dynamics, leadership at different stages of group development, and an introduction to inclusive and value-based leadership.

Participants also explored the youth sector’s challenges and points of influence, feedback tools and effective communication, inclusion and accessibility in national recovery, universal design, trauma-informed youth work, intercultural dialogue, and diversity in communication.
They also worked on turning ideas into action and developing action-oriented approaches for community impact.

About the programme
Ukraine Community Builders empowers Ukrainian leaders to become inclusive changemakers by deepening their understanding of EU values, youth participation, minority rights, inclusion, and diversity.
In response to war, social fragmentation, and exclusion, the programme offers a four-block journey combining theory, reflection, and practice. Read more about the programme here.
