Visit from the Ambassador of the United States to Fryshuset
On the 15th of November, Fryshuset had the honor of welcoming the Embassy of the United States in Sweden, accompanied by US Ambassador Erik D. Ramanathan and his delegation. This visit provided us with a unique opportunity to introduce the essence of Fryshuset and communicate our commitment to empowering the youth.
The visit started with an informative introduction, during which we acquainted the Ambassador and his team with Fryshuset’s rich history, diverse projects, and the values that bind our organization together. Emphasizing our commitment to fostering the interests of young people, we underscored the significance of open communication and actively listening to their voices. It was heartening to express how Fryshuset addresses critical issues, such as assisting young individuals in distancing themselves from gangs or confronting societal challenges like racism, antisemitism and islamophobia through various social projects.
The delegation embarked on an extensive tour of Fryshuset’s facilities, gaining insights into the daily missions undertaken by our dedicated team. The visit included stops at our vibrant sports facilities, where the delegation experienced the energy of our basketball court, skateboard park, and dance center. The tour’s highlight was a captivating dance performance by young talents in our dance center, leaving a lasting impression on the esteemed guests. Continuing the excursion, the delegation explored the Momentum space dedicated to youth climate action, acknowledging Fryshuset’s commitment to fostering environmentally conscious initiatives. Additionally, they visited our beloved library, a safe space for cultivating relationships with young minds.
This visit provided a fantastic opportunity to highlight our ongoing mission to esteemed guests from the embassy while fostering crucial global partnerships for the empowerment and support of young individuals.
