SAYP 2025–2026: The Second Cycle Begins with Training in Moldova
Following the successful implementation of the first cycle, Fryshuset — with support from the Swedish Institute (SI) and in partnership with Armenian Progressive Youth (APY) — has launched a second cycle of the Swedish Institute Academy for Young Professionals (SAYP) programme.
The programme continues to strengthen the capacity of organisations and professionals working with youth across the Eastern Partnership region. Participants come from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine and represent civil society, public institutions, and leadership positions within the private sector.
The new cycle builds on previous experience while placing stronger emphasis on practical implementation: how professionals can remove barriers to youth participation and create inclusive environments in their organisations and communities.

Participants met for the first training module in Moldova in January 2026, marking the official start of the second SAYP cycle.
Through experiential learning and collaborative exercises, the group worked on:
- building trust and safe spaces in youth work
- inclusive leadership styles
- psychological safety and belonging
- diversity-sensitive facilitation methods
- leadership across stages of group development

After the Moldova module, participants will continue working together through online sessions before meeting again in Sweden in June 2026. The programme will conclude with regional roundtables, where participants will connect their learning to local realities and policy discussions.
