US AMBASSADBESÖK_02/10/23

USA:s ambassadör kom på besök till oss på Fryshuset Malmö.

Det var ett tillfälle att introducera honom till Fryshuset, organisationens historia, de olika projekt vi driver och deras teman, samt de värderingar vi står för och som binder oss alla universellt.

En del av teamet fanns på plats för att erbjuda ambassadören en rundtur i de lokaler och anläggningar som vi använder för att välkomna ungdomar, samt de olika uppdrag som alla arbetar med på daglig basis.

Vi kunde också diskutera vilken roll Fryshuset spelar i Sverige, och mer specifikt i Malmö, och hur vi arbetar med stora utmaningar som barnfattigdom, integration, polarisering och så vidare.

Det var ett utmärkt tillfälle att utbyta åsikter om de utmaningar vi står inför som ungdomsarbetare, och om det stöd och de medel vi behöver hitta för att Fryshuset ska kunna fullgöra sina uppdrag.

The US ambassador came to visit us at Fryshuset Malmö.

It was an opportunity to introduce him to Fryshuset, the history of the organization, the different projects we run and their themes, as well as the values we stand for and which bind us all universally.

Part of the team was on hand to offer the ambassador a tour of the premises and facilities we use to welcome young people, as well as the different missions on which everyone works on a daily basis.

We were also able to discuss the role Fryshuset plays in Sweden, and more specifically in Malmö, and how we work on major challenges such as child poverty, integration, polarization and so on.

It was an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the challenges we face as youth workers, and on the support and means we need to find for Fryshuset to fulfil its missions.
